IMMIGRATION

There are 3 categories of Visas in Nigeria. Two categories are for working Short term and long term and the other category is for business only.

All work permit applications have a pre-application stage whereby permission or authorization  is applied for in Nigeria from the Immigration Comptroller before the work permit can be  applied for in their country of origin.

The Categories of visas are :

Business Visa- for between 1-6 month depending on nationality and how many trips the applicant has made to Nigeria.

TWP- Temporary work permit is issued for up to 3 months and can be renewed twice for an additional 3 months per renew. The government fee increases with every renewal.

STR and CERPAC- Subject to Regularization and Work and Residence Permit Card. This STR is issued per position and upon arrival in Nigeria has 3 months to convert to a Work and Residence permit.

THE FOLLOWING NATIONALITIES DO NOT NEED VISA-
All members of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). This is for tourist and business purposes only.

BUSINESS VISA

Uniglo Financial can offer a Business Visa service (where necessary) but it is recommended that we arrange Work Permits and full local employment for all contractors.

WORK & RESIDENCE PERMIT

TWP- Temporary Work Permit- 3 months

PROCESSING TIME:1 – 10 Days at the embassy
PRE- APPLICATION: Yes- cablegram needs to be applied for in Nigeria- 2- 3 Weeks
APPLICATION: In country of origin
SPECIAL NOTES- 90% of Nigerian Embassies do not accept applications directly from the Public and would have to make use of a visa agent to assist
VALIDITY: 3 Month
EXTENSIONS: yes -2
VALIDITY PERIOD ON EACH EXTENSION-3 months
TOTAL VALIDITY PERIOD FOR VISA/PERMIT- 9 Months
TOTAL PROCESSING TIME- 5 WEEKS
